Kingston Introduces New Line of Heavy Duty CNC Lathes
Powered by the same headstock and spindle bores at the heart of its HK and HG engine lathes,
Kingston has introduced its new line of CNC lathes.
This series of four horizontal CNC turning centers, the CG/CK/CP/CPX,
is designed for large work pieces such as oil field pipes, pipeline control
valves and the production of power generating components for the wind,
energy and nuclear industries.
These machines are also suitable for long work pieces such as shafts for ships
and roller shafts used in the textile industry.
The series is lead in size by the CG and CK models with a 371mm(14.5”) and 320mm(12.5”)
spindle bore respectively, with choice of a 870mm (34”) or 1020mm(40”) swing and
2000mm(80”) to 7000mm(280”) length.
The CPX and CP models with a 235mm(9.25”) and 180mm(7.09”) spindle bore, feature
the additional options of a unique larger swing size of 1170mm(46”) and 1270mm(50”).
All machines utilize the Fanuc 0iTD with Manual Guide I and the useful threading repair function.
The turning center’s total travels are 550mm(20.86”) in the X-axis and 2000mm-7000mm(82”-280”)
in the Z-axis.
The 710mm(28”) bed width, two V guideways and boxway cross slide are designed to provide
stability and heavy-duty capabilities. |
